We are looking for a Buyer to join our client, which is a leading regional construction company, operating across the South of England, based in Dorset.

What will be expected of you:

Have experience in Sub-contractor Buying
-
Placing and progressing orders daily
-
Liaise with suppliers and research alternate suppliers as and when required

Ensure confirmation of orders, delivery, and prices
-
Contacting suppliers and negotiating best prices and lead times for plant hire and materials
-
Assisting with take-offs and the pre-planning of materials for new sites
-
Identification of potential new suppliers
-
Ordering of materials in line with tender quotes
-
Identify cost-saving opportunities from the tender stage onwards
-
Construction phase assistance – planning delivery dates and dynamics
